Man Accused of Brandishing Sword on TTC Bus A 31-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly brandished a sword on a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus. On Monday evening, police were called to the bus at Warden Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East after receiving reports of a man threatening passengers with a weapon. According to witnesses, the man entered the bus and began shouting at other passengers. He then allegedly drew a sword from a bag and waved it around. The bus driver immediately pulled over and called 911. Police arrived and detained the suspect without incident. The man has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats. No injuries were reported in the incident. TTC spokesperson Stuart Green said the safety of TTC customers and staff is the top priority. “We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone who uses our system,” Green said. He added that the TTC is working closely with police to investigate the incident. He then boarded a second bus and assaulted another victim, again without provocation. After exiting the second bus, Size allegedly pulled a sword from his backpack and began swinging it violently, damaging the bus seats. Police arrested Size and charged him with two counts of assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon, mischief/property damage, and failure to comply with a release order. His bail hearing was held on Tuesday, but the results have not been disclosed. He appeared in court on Sunday and was remanded into custody.
