In April 2024, Chevron acquired an 80% operating interest in PEL 82 in the Walvis Basin. “Re-entering the Namibian retail market is a significant milestone for Chevron,” said Danielle Lincoln, Vice President of Chevron International Products. “We plan to reinforce the Caltex brand with a network of fuel retail sites, offering reliable energy to Namibian motorists.” Corne Schalkwyk, Managing Director of Bachmus Oil and Fuel Supplies, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Chevron in bringing Caltex back to Namibia,” he said. “Bachmus’s experience and infrastructure will support the growth of Caltex service stations.
