The break, which was located on Highland Road near Siegen Lane, occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to the East Baton Rouge Water Company (EBRWC), the break affected residents in the following areas: * Highland Road from Siegen Lane to Goodwood Boulevard * Goodwood Boulevard from Highland Road to Prescott Road * Prescott Road from Goodwood Boulevard to College Drive * College Drive from Prescott Road to South Sherwood Forest Boulevard EBRWC crews worked throughout the night to repair the break, but service was not fully restored until Wednesday afternoon. During the water outage, residents were advised to boil water before drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth. The company stated that the break was caused by a combination of factors, including aging infrastructure and heavy rainfall.
