Leah Barobetse Embarks on Miss Supranational Journey
Leah Barobetse, the reigning Miss Supranational Botswana 2024, prepares to depart for Poland on June 16th for the prestigious Miss Supranational finals on July 6th. Leah’s journey to Poland will span a month, during which she will soak in the country’s attractions and partake in activities leading up to the grand finale. Rigorous training in etiquette, public speaking, and various walks, as well as beauty care, is underway to equip her for the competition. Supporters are urged to connect with the Miss Supranational platform and engage with Leah’s content by voting, liking, and sharing. These activities contribute to the challenges and activities hosted through the Miss Supranational website and YouTube channels. While costume sponsorships have been largely secured, additional support is sought to aid in Leah’s representation. Miss Supranational Botswana licensees, Something Big, generously cover a significant portion of the expenses. Leah’s advocacy project, “AHEARTCAN” (PeloBokgoni), aims to combat the stigma associated with disabilities and provide individuals with platforms to showcase their talents and abilities. Seleka, who was crowned Miss Supranational Botswana 2023 in March, will compete against over 70 other delegates from around the world for the coveted title. The Miss Supranational pageant is one of the largest and most prestigious international beauty pageants in the world. It was established in 2009 and is held annually in Poland. Seleka is a 23-year-old model and entrepreneur from Gaborone. She is a graduate of the University of Botswana with a degree in Business Administration. She is passionate about empowering women and girls and has worked with several organizations to promote gender equality and education. Seleka said she is excited to represent Botswana at the Miss Supranational pageant and hopes to make her country proud. “This is a dream come true for me,” she said. “I am honored to represent Botswana on such a prestigious stage.” Seleka will depart for Poland on July 3rd. The Miss Supranational finals will be held on July 15th in Nowy Sącz, Poland.
