The truck, which was later identified as stolen, was chased by police officers for several blocks before being stopped near the intersection of 6th Avenue and Locust Street. The driver, identified as 32-year-old John Smith, was taken into custody without incident. Police said he appeared to be intoxicated and is now facing charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and criminal mischief. The rampage caused significant damage to businesses and infrastructure in the area. Several storefronts had their windows shattered, and one building sustained structural damage.
