Reno’s Little Theater of the Wasted Unveils Edgy New PlayReno’s Little Theater of the Wasted Unveils Edgy New Play Reno, Nevada – The Little Theater of the Wasted, known for its offbeat and experimental productions, has unveiled its latest creation: “The Depraved.” Written by local playwright Anya Frost, the play delves into the dark underbelly of human desire and depravity. Set in a seedy nightclub, it follows an enigmatic dancer named Isolde and her unraveling world. The protagonist, Isolde, becomes entangled in a web of twisted relationships, addiction, and violence. As she navigates the shadowy depths of her own psyche, the lines between reality and fantasy blur, leading to a shocking and unsettling climax. Director Felix Blackwood praised the play’s raw energy and fearless exploration of taboo subjects. “It’s not for the faint of heart,” Blackwood said. “But for those willing to embrace the darkness, ‘The Depraved’ offers a visceral and thought-provoking experience.” Leading the cast as Isolde is rising starlet Anya Petrova. Petrova’s transformative performance captures the character’s vulnerability and inner turmoil. “It’s a demanding role,” Petrova said. “But I’m thrilled to give voice to such a complex and fascinating character.” The production features an intimate and immersive setting, creating an atmosphere that both captivates and disturbs the audience. Lighting designer Ezra Solomon uses clever projections to evoke the play’s disorienting and surreal atmosphere. “The Little Theater of the Wasted is known for pushing boundaries,” said manager Celeste Dubois. “With ‘The Depraved,’ we aim to challenge our audience’s preconceptions and leave them questioning their own moral compass.” “The Depraved” will run for a limited engagement at the Little Theater of the Wasted from February 10th to March 5th. Tickets are on sale now and are expected to sell out quickly.
