22-Year-Old Man Arrested for Drink-Driving After Collision Involving Three Vehicles in Yishun

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for drink-driving after a three-vehicle collision in Yishun on Friday evening (January 27). The accident occurred at the junction of Yishun Avenue 1 and Yishun Central 1 at around 7:15 pm. According to the Singapore Police Force (SPF), a car driven by the 22-year-old man collided with another car and a van. The impact of the collision caused both cars to overturn. Paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived at the scene and attended to the victims. The 22-year-old man, who was driving the first car, was arrested for drink-driving after a breathalyzer test revealed that he had an alcohol level that was above the legal limit. The drivers of the other two vehicles, a 56-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. On June 11th, a 22-year-old male was arrested for drink-driving and reckless driving after a three-vehicle collision in Yishun. The incident occurred at the junction of Yishun Avenue 1 and Avenue 6 around 6am. The accident involved a white van, a red car, and another vehicle. The van was overturned on its side, and the red car sustained damage. Three individuals, a 38-year-old female car passenger, a 60-year-old male van driver, and his 58-year-old female passenger, were transported to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in conscious condition.

Multi-Vehicle Crash on Pan-Island Expressway

Later the same day, another accident occurred on the Pan-Island Expressway towards Changi before the Thomson Road exit. This incident involved a motorcycle, two cars, and a truck. Two individuals, a 52-year-old male car driver and a 22-year-old male motorcyclist, were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in conscious condition. A 35-year-old female driver assisted in the investigation.

He was arrested and taken to the Traffic Police headquarters for further investigations. The man will be charged with drink-driving and causing grievous hurt by negligent driving.
