As many as seven players could make their Test debuts for the Springboks against Wales, with the likes of Salmaan Moerat, Ntuthuko Mchunu and Evan Roos all in contention. Moerat is a highly-rated hooker who has been in impressive form for the Stormers in Super Rugby. Mchunu is a powerful loosehead prop who has also been in good form for the Bulls. Roos is a dynamic back-row forward who has been capped at Under-20 level for South Africa. He is a physical presence who can also score tries.
