For a decade, the league has been bringing together Cincinnatians of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a vibrant community while providing a fun and competitive outlet. QCKL was founded in 2012 by a group of friends who shared a passion for the game and a desire to create a more active and social environment in the city. Since its humble beginnings with just a handful of teams, the league has grown exponentially, now boasting over 200 teams and nearly 2,500 players. Over the years, QCKL has become a beloved tradition for many Cincinnatians. It offers players of all skill levels an opportunity to enjoy the thrill of competition, make new friends, and stay active. The league features various divisions, allowing for a wide range of abilities and preferences. Beyond the field, QCKL has fostered a strong sense of community among its members. Players from different teams often socialize together after games, forming lasting friendships and connections. The league also organizes social events, such as bar crawls, kickball tournaments, and charity drives, bringing players together off the field. The 10th anniversary celebration will be marked by a special kickball tournament and festivities at Sawyer Point Park on June 24th, 2023. The tournament will feature teams from various divisions and will be a showcase of the league’s growth and camaraderie. “It’s incredible to think how far we’ve come in ten years,” said QCKL Commissioner Emily Thomas. “We’ve created a place where people can have fun, make friends, and enjoy the sport of kickball. We’re grateful for the support of our players and sponsors, and we look forward to many more years of success.” As QCKL enters its second decade, it remains committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Cincinnatians. The league encourages new players to join and experience the joy of kickball, friendship, and community.
