Kennedy Agyapong Campaigns Alongside Dr. Bawumia in Suame Magazine
Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, joined the Vice President and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, during a campaign rally in Kumasi’s Suame Magazine on Tuesday, June 11. Kennedy Agyapong urged residents to wholeheartedly support the NPP in the 2024 elections. He stressed the importance of electing Dr. Bawumia as the next president, emphasizing the promise of significant economic recovery under his leadership. Acknowledging the challenges faced by businesses in Suame Magazine, particularly high port tariffs, he assured the gathering that Dr. Bawumia is committed to easing these financial burdens after his election. “People of Suame Magazine, I know the huge amount you pay for duties because I also pay some. The Vice President has assured me and I speak on his behalf that he is aware that spare parts are expensive,” said Kennedy Agyapong. “So when he comes to power, he will review it and ensure it is reduced. If you want a party that will bring you development, it is the NPP.” He appealed to the crowd, saying, “Our Vice President and standard-bearer for the 2024 election is with us. I implore each of you to commit to delivering his victory, knowing that it will usher in a new era of economic prosperity for our country.” The campaign also included a discussion of the need for comprehensive legislation on organ harvesting, donation, and transplantation in Ghana. GhanaWeb and the Korle-Bu University Hospital are spearheading a campaign to raise awareness and advocate for the passage of such legislation.Irish Athletics Team Set for European Indoor Championships in Poland A provisional team of 23 athletes has been selected to represent Ireland at the upcoming European Indoor Athletics Championships in Torun, Poland.
