A 17-year-old boy has been charged with uttering threats causing bodily harm and uttering threats to kill after allegedly threatening to sexually assault a woman in west Toronto earlier this week. The incident occurred on Sunday night in the area of Shaw Street and Bloor Street West. The victims were standing in their garage facing an alley when the suspect struck up a conversation with them. When they hung up, the suspect allegedly threatened to sexually assault the female victim. The suspect then attacked the victims, who took refuge in their residence. He fled on foot shortly after. The next day, police released a photograph of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in identifying him. On Friday, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident. He cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court next month.
