ITV+ Announces Major TV Shake-Up: ‘Good Morning Britain’ and ‘Lorraine’ Get New Time Slots

ITV+ has unveiled a significant shake-up of its morning television schedule, with popular shows ‘Good Morning Britain’ (GMB) and ‘Lorraine’ moving to new time slots. From September 5th, GMB will air weekdays from 6:30am to 9:00am, moving from its current 6:00am to 8:30am slot. This change will give the breakfast show an extra 30 minutes of airtime to cover the latest news and current affairs. ‘Lorraine’ will also see a time shift, moving from its current 9:00am to 9:25am slot to a new 9:00am to 10:00am window. This expansion will allow the show to delve deeper into lifestyle, entertainment, and human interest stories. The shake-up is part of ITV+’s commitment to “delivering exceptional content that meets the needs of our viewers,” according to Managing Director of Media and Entertainment, Carolyn McCall. “We believe that these new time slots will offer viewers greater flexibility and choice, allowing them to watch their favorite morning shows at a time that works best for them,” she added. The changes were met with mixed reactions from viewers. Some expressed excitement at the prospect of longer GMB and Lorraine episodes, while others raised concerns about the disruption to their morning routines. ITV+ assured viewers that the new schedule had been carefully considered to provide a comprehensive and engaging morning line-up. The broadcaster also announced that ‘This Morning’ would remain in its current time slot from 10:00am to 12:30pm.ITV Morning Show Shakeup Announced Ahead of General Election
