With just under 50 days remaining until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) has secured a significant sponsorship deal with Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) under its Nile Special brand. The Sh200 million sponsorship adds to the UOC’s financial resources as they prepare to send a contingent of athletes to the French capital. “Locally, we are strong sponsors of our rugby and football team, and we will also support the basketball team,” announced NBL CEO Adu Rando during a press conference. Rando emphasized the importance of sports in Uganda and highlighted the alignment between NBL and the Olympic spirit.

Nile Special’s Commitment to Sports

Nile Special has a history of supporting sports in Uganda, particularly rugby and football.
