The enormous inflatable, known affectionately as “Big Crab,” has become a symbol of resilience and joy for Baltimoreans. Crowds gathered along the waterfront to witness the arrival of the gargantuan crab. The inflatable, adorned with bright orange and blue hues, floated gracefully above the water, its claws waving in the air. “It’s just awesome,” exclaimed Lisa Johnson, a resident who brought her family to see the crab. “It’s a reminder that even in tough times, we can find joy and celebrate our city’s unique spirit.” Mayor Brandon Scott hailed the crab as a beacon of hope and unity. “This crab represents our determination to bounce back from challenges and our love for our community,” he said. “It will serve as a reminder that together, we can overcome anything.” The inflatable crab was commissioned by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, in partnership with local artists and businesses.
